What’s been happening:

I'm a technology and business writer, currently based in Astoria, N.Y., who likes to expose deeper trends in my write ups. In my previous staff positions I've written about emerging technologies--the ones that sound good in theory but have yet to be tested. I've also written about standardized business applications in areas like enterprise resource planning or customer relationship management. Currently in transition, I'm doing freelance work. Subjects I've written about include: green computing, operations risk management, services oriented architecture, and mobile banking. Astoria is a great community. Close to Manhattan, it's diverse, walkable, and full of interesting street life. (Neat freak that I am, I wished people were a little less litter prone, but nothing's perfect.) In my free time I practice yoga, take photos, blog, and read--often Swedish crime fiction.
